Pursuant to art. 108, paragraph 3-bis of the Cultural Heritage and Landscape Code, the following activities are in any case free and free of charge if carried out without profit, for the purposes of study, research, free expression of thought or creative expression, promotion of knowledge of cultural heritage (article 108, paragraph 3-bis, of the Code):
the reproduction of cultural assets, other than archival assets, subject to restrictions on consultation pursuant to Chapter III, Title II, of the Code, carried out in compliance with the provisions that protect copyright and in ways that do not involve any physical contact with the asset, nor the exposure of the same to light sources, nor the use of stands or tripods within cultural institutions;
the dissemination by any means of images of cultural assets, legitimately acquired, in such a way that they cannot be further reproduced for profit.
Reproductions made in the study room with one's own means
No fee is due for reproductions made by:
private individuals for personal use or for study purposes, or by
public or private entities for valorization purposes.
In both cases, it is necessary that the production is carried out on a non-profit basis (Article 108, paragraph 3 of the Code).
In the State Archives of Pesaro-Urbino, a paid photo-reproduction service is active, according to the attached TARIFF, updated pursuant to the Ministerial Decree 108 21/03/2024 containing amendments to the Ministerial Decree 161 11/04/2023 GUIDELINES FOR DETERMINING THE MINIMUM AMOUNTS OF THE FEES AND CONSIDERATIONS FOR THE GRANTING OF USE OF GOODS DELIVERED TO STATE INSTITUTES AND PLACES OF CULTURE in force from 15/04/2024.
Please note that, according to current legislation, expenses for photo reproduction work must be paid in advance.

Please note that reproduction costs do not include any costs of the PSP (Payment Service Provider) that adheres to the PagoPA service.
